Worst Ice Loss In History

This summer, the arctic pole had it's worst ice loss in recorded history. The arctic ice has has shrunk to a million square miles, compared to the previous record of summer 2005 with 1,5 millions. Earlier reports this year predicted a ice free passage in summer for 2040 but it happened much sooner than predicted as satellites pictures taken this summer showed this ice free passage.

There is a $30 Million prize to be won by anyone who lands a privately funded rover on the moon by December 31, 2012. A major part of the challenge is that the successful rover is to beam back about 1GB of data. Google will also reserve a space to store photos and personal messages.
